Supply Your Own Vehicle; My Crew Supplies the Lifting

Rental already booked and you’d just as soon do the driving? Then what’s left unsolved is the punishing part, wrestling the heavy stuff aboard and stacking it so the interstate doesn’t rattle it apart. Hands-only help addresses that one thing, nothing wider. Pull in with the unit you reserved, keep your keys, and the team fills or empties it in short order, jammed snug with mass distributed nose to tail. Handing you the wheel is a deliberate call here, and a large reason it remains one of the lowest-cost ways to get experienced hands on the job.

What Comes With It

  • Seasoned hands to stack or strip out the unit you’ve hired
  • A snug, evenly distributed load engineered against any drift en route
  • Moving blankets and stretch film on whatever item warrants them
  • Dollies, tie-downs and floor protection arriving in our own gear bag
  • Big furniture and bed frames knocked down then reassembled

How the Work Goes

The unit parks where there’s space while the team gauges every piece for mass and bulk, sets the densest items up front as ballast, and wedges the rest against that wall so nothing comes adrift. If a piece breaks down to reclaim cubic feet, down it comes. Stripping the unit is simply the same dance reversed, things placed in whatever room you point to and the knocked-down items put back together. When it’s slick out, salt goes on the ramp and walk and protection goes down before a wheel turns, since a heaped dolly sliding off a ramp onto a glazed DMV drive is exactly the road from a self-run move to the emergency room. High-rise jobs run inside your reserved freight-elevator block so the rental doesn’t sit burning your time.

The Single Firm Limit

Bluntly, none of the driving is mine. Piloting the truck, hauling a trailer, ferrying a POD address to address, all of that lands on you or the rental outfit, period. The unit and its fuel are your line item as well, and loose, unsealed belongings stay outside coverage unless you sealed them or we filmed them beforehand.

Pricing

Billing runs on the clock, opening at $180/hr for two movers under a two-hour floor, generally the most wallet-friendly path to a capable team. Heavy inventory or a climb of several stories often justifies a third pair of hands, something we settle over the phone.

What people across Washington say about us

Brian E.
Brian E. Logan Circle · 2-bed apartment
★★★★★

I couldn't have hoped for a smoother day. Their pace stayed steady, they were gentle and patient with my aging parents, and every additional request I threw out got handled cheerfully. There's nobody I wouldn't point toward this team.

★★★★★

Punctual, courteous, and they actually beat the estimated finish time. Cartons and heavy furniture alike got identical attention. We own a massive china hutch, and they eased it away from the dining room and into the truck bed without it picking up so much as a single mark. I genuinely sat down afterward hunting for a gripe and walked away with absolutely nothing.

Lamar K. Wheaton · senior downsizing
★★★★★

While my mother downsized out of the home she'd kept for four decades, they stayed beside her the entire time and never once let her feel like a burden slowing things up. Tender with her belongings, endlessly patient with her, and warm the whole afternoon through. They exceeded everything we'd dared to expect.

Service FAQs

The questions customers tend to ask after booking a job like this

Could your team drive or relocate my POD from one address to another?
They can't. Booking hands-only buys lifting power and that alone, so the team packs or strips while every mile of driving rests with you or the rental outfit. Dividing it this way is what keeps the clock rate cheap and leaves the unit fully under your command.
Aside from rental trucks, are PODs and containers something you'll pack?
Either one, easily. U-Haul, Penske and Budget rigs all work for us, and so do PODs, ABF relocubes and freight containers right next to them. We turn out a tight stack pushed toward the front that travels the distance without creeping around.
Is it fine to bring you in only for the unload at the far end?
Totally. A lot of folks drive the whole way and call us in strictly at arrival to strip the unit and lug everything inside, stairs and all. Reserving both ends, or a single end, is entirely your choice to make.
What keeps the stack from shifting around once the truck is rolling?
We plant the dense items flat against the front, stack upward in layers, and tie off each layer, so a sharp stop on the Beltway doesn't hand you a scraped dresser at the door. Layer-by-layer tying is exactly the move almost every self-packed truck leaves undone.
